JAMB Data Correction 2024/2025

2024 JAMB Correction of Data/Changes include:

Gender Correction:

Candidates can request a gender change in JAMB with a fee of ₦2,500. Supporting documents may be necessary, and an indemnity form must be downloaded, filled, and submitted at the candidate’s institution for approval.

State/L.G.A Origin Correction

Candidates can request an amendment of State/Local government in JAMB with a fee of ₦2,500. Supporting documents may be required, and an indemnity form must be downloaded, filled, and submitted at the candidate’s institution for approval.

Change Of Course/Institution

Candidates can request a change of course or institution in JAMB with a fee of ₦2,500.

Correction Of Names

Candidates can request an amendment of names, such as surname, first name, or last name, in JAMB with a fee of ₦2,500.

Correction Of Date Of Birth

Candidates can request an amendment of the date of birth in JAMB with a fee of ₦2,500. Supporting documents may be required, and an indemnity form must be downloaded, filled, and submitted at the candidate’s institution for approval.

Note that the mentioned corrections/changes can no longer be done from home. You can utilize a Smartphone, Tablet, Laptop, or Desktop Computer with a strong internet connection. JAMB Data Correction Fee 2024/2025

Correction of any mentioned data incurs a separate fee of Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira Only [N2,500]. It can only be done once, including JAMB Change of Course/Institution, which was previously allowed twice from each applicant’s profile account.

Following a July 16, 2021 meeting, JAMB introduced OTP (One Time Password) instead of biometrics verification during UTME/DE registration corrections to curb Covid-19 spread. Candidates without SIM access should visit JAMB Offices in person, providing registration details. JAMB officials resend OTP via email, and after verification, corrections proceed. The candidate’s affixed photo on the printed email ensures authenticity. Crucially, correction of data should never be done by proxy.

How To Correct Any Mistakes on Jamb Profile

To correct mistakes on the JAMB portal:

• Visit efacility.jamb.gov.ng/
• Log in with your registered email and password or create a new account.
• Choose “Application For Correction of Data” on the left side.
• Click the specific detail to correct, e.g., “date of birth.”
• Enter the exam year and registration number, then click “search details.”
• Select “Pay with Remita” for easy payment.
• Confirm and pay, noting the transaction details.
• Click “Continue” after payment, and re-enter exam year and reg. number.
• Correct the data on the screen and click “submit.”
• Print the Indemnity Form on the next page.
• Fill it out accurately, and submit it to your institution for approval.
• After approval, the form goes to the state’s JAMB office.
• JAMB will notify you of the process.
